License Activation and Management

Your DigiFlash Pro license key controls access to premium features, automatic updates, and support. Proper license management ensures your Pro features remain active and your plugin stays up to date.

Activating Your License

After installing DigiFlash Pro, you must activate your license to unlock all premium functionality. Navigate to Appearance > DigiFlash in your WordPress dashboard. The license activation section appears at the top of the page when DigiFlash Pro is installed but not activated.

Enter your license key in the text field provided. Your license key is the alphanumeric string received via email after purchase. Click Activate License to connect your site to the DigiFlash licensing server.

A successful activation displays a green confirmation message and changes the license status to “Active”. If activation fails, verify that your license key is entered correctly without extra spaces or characters.

Viewing License Information

Once activated, the DigiFlash dashboard displays your current license status and details. The license information section shows your license key (partially masked for security), the license type (Single, Multiple, or Unlimited), the number of active sites using the license, and the expiration date for updates and support.

This information helps you track your license usage and renewal schedule. You can access this at any time by visiting Appearance > DigiFlash in your WordPress admin.

Deactivating Your License

You may need to deactivate your license when moving DigiFlash Pro to a different website, switching from a staging site to production, or removing DigiFlash Pro from a site permanently.

To deactivate, go to Appearance > DigiFlash and locate the license section. Click the Deactivate License button. The system will disconnect your license from the current site and update your available site count.

After deactivation, Pro features remain installed but become inactive. You can reactivate the license on the same site or use it on a different site within your license limits.

Managing Multiple Sites

If you have a multiple site license, you can use the same license key on multiple WordPress installations. Each site must activate the license individually using the same license key.

The DigiFlash dashboard shows how many sites are currently using your license. For multiple site licenses, ensure you don’t exceed your allowed number of active sites. If you reach the limit, you must deactivate the license on one site before activating it on another.

Your customer portal on the DigiFlash website provides a complete overview of all sites using your license, allowing you to manage activations across your entire network.

License Renewal and Updates

DigiFlash Pro licenses include one year of updates and support from the purchase date. After the expiration date, DigiFlash Pro continues functioning on your site, but you won’t receive plugin updates or have access to support.

To continue receiving updates and support, renew your license through the DigiFlash website. You’ll receive a renewal reminder email before your license expires. After renewal, your license automatically extends for another year and updates resume immediately.

Checking License Status

Your license status is visible in multiple locations. The Appearance > DigiFlash dashboard shows real-time license status including active, expired, or invalid states. The Plugins page displays whether DigiFlash Pro can check for updates based on license status.

If your license shows as invalid or inactive, verify the license key is entered correctly and that you haven’t exceeded your site limit. An expired license still allows the plugin to function but blocks updates and support access.

Transferring Licenses Between Sites

To move your license from one site to another, first deactivate it on the original site by going to Appearance > DigiFlash and clicking Deactivate License. Then install DigiFlash Pro on your new site and activate the license using the same license key.

This process is particularly useful when moving from staging to production environments or when redesigning a site on a new domain. The license system automatically tracks which site is currently active.
