DigiFlash allows you to create your homepage using the Site Editor and block patterns. The homepage displays your site’s main content and can be customized completely through Full Site Editing.
Setting Your Homepage
Navigate to Settings → Reading in your WordPress dashboard. Under Your homepage displays, select either:
- Your latest posts – Displays your blog posts on the homepage
- A static page – Displays a specific page as your homepage
If you choose A static page, select or create a page from the Homepage dropdown menu. Click Save Changes.
Editing Your Homepage Content
DigiFlash uses the front-page.html template for static homepages. You cannot add content directly to the page selected in Settings → Reading. Instead, edit the homepage through the Site Editor:
Navigate to Appearance → Editor → Templates → Front Page. This template controls all homepage content when a static page is set.
Click anywhere in the template to edit content. The default front-page template includes patterns like hero sections, features, about sections, and call-to-action blocks. Add, remove, or rearrange these blocks to build your homepage.
Adding Homepage Patterns
With the front-page template open, click the + icon to insert blocks or click Browse all patterns to access DigiFlash block patterns. Combine patterns such as:
- Hero sections
- Feature sections
- About sections
- Service showcases
- Testimonials
- Call-to-action sections
Arrange patterns in the order you want them to appear.
Adding Full-Width Sections
DigiFlash patterns are designed for full-width layouts. Insert patterns directly into your front-page template and they automatically span the full browser width while maintaining proper content alignment.
For custom full-width sections, add a Group block, set its width to Full width in block settings, then add your content inside.
Saving Homepage Changes
Click Save in the Site Editor toolbar to publish your homepage. Changes appear immediately on your live site.
