DigiFlash is a modern block theme built for speed and flexibility. This guide will walk you through the essential steps to get your website up and running with DigiFlash.
Understanding DigiFlash
DigiFlash is a full site editing (FSE) block theme designed with performance as its top priority. Unlike classic WordPress themes, DigiFlash uses the WordPress Site Editor, allowing you to customize every aspect of your website visually without touching code. The theme includes pre-built block patterns, templates, and global styles that you can use immediately or customize to match your brand.
Accessing the Site Editor
Once DigiFlash is installed and activated, you can start customizing your site through the Site Editor.
Navigate to Appearance > Editor from your WordPress dashboard. This opens the Site Editor interface where you can modify templates, template parts, and global styles.
The Site Editor provides a visual workspace where you can see changes in real-time as you build your site.
Choosing a Template
DigiFlash includes several pre-built templates to help you get started quickly:
- Default Template – Standard page layout with header, content area, and footer
- Blank Template – Clean slate with just the content area
- No Title Template – Removes the page title for cleaner hero sections
- No Title & Spacing Template – Maximum flexibility with no title and reduced spacing
Select the template that best fits your page purpose. You can assign different templates to different pages through the page editor.
Using Block Patterns
Block patterns are pre-designed layouts that you can insert into your pages with a single click. DigiFlash includes patterns for:
- Hero sections
- Feature showcases
- About sections
- Call-to-action blocks
- Services displays
- Testimonials
- Pricing tables
- FAQ sections
To insert a pattern, click the + button in the editor, select Patterns, and browse the DigiFlash patterns. Click any pattern to insert it into your page, then customize the content to match your needs.
Customizing Global Styles
Global styles control the overall appearance of your website, including colors, typography, and spacing. These settings apply site-wide, ensuring consistency across all pages.
From the Site Editor, click the Styles icon in the top-right corner. Here you can customize:
- Color palettes and individual color selections
- Typography settings including font families and sizes
- Spacing and layout dimensions
- Button styles and link colors
- Shadow presets for depth effects
Changes made in Global Styles automatically apply throughout your entire website.
Creating Your First Page
To create a new page, go to Pages > Add New from your WordPress dashboard. Give your page a title, then start building with blocks and patterns.
Use the + button to add individual blocks like paragraphs, images, buttons, and columns. For faster page building, insert complete patterns and modify them to match your content.
Once you’re satisfied with your page, click Publish to make it live on your website.
Setting Your Homepage
After creating pages, designate which page appears as your homepage.
Navigate to Settings > Reading and under “Your homepage displays,” select A static page. Choose the page you created from the Homepage dropdown menu. Save your changes.
Your selected page now appears as the front page of your website.
Customizing Header and Footer
The header and footer are template parts that appear across your entire website. To edit them, open the Site Editor and click on the header or footer area under Patterns.
You can modify the navigation menu, add your logo, change colors, and adjust the layout. Any changes you make to these template parts will reflect on all pages of your website.
